My home studio in Moreton Bay, Queensland, is where I make every soap, balm, and scrub you'll find right here on my website.

Every bar is cut by hand. Every ingredient carefully chosen.  Event scent blended to uplift, calm or refresh.

Market days are my favourite — chatting with customers, swapping soap stories, and watching new people discover the beauty of handmade.

MEET THE WOMAN BEHIND THE BRAND

Soap maker, ingredient nerd, mum, nature lover.

I’m Alicia — the hands, heart, and slightly messy apron behind Medika Organics. I started making natural soap back in 2016, looking for gentler, more nourishing products for my family’s skin. One batch led to another… and before long, I was in love with the whole process. The ingredients. The creativity. The calm that comes from stirring something good and pure by hand. What started as a hobby soon became my business — helping people care for their skin naturally, while creating a slower, more meaningful way of life for myself too.

Why Medika?

Medika (pronounced mah-DEE-kah) is a beautiful Indigenous word meaning native water lilies. I chose this name to honour my Great Grandmother Lily, a proud Wiradjuri woman and a survivor of the Stolen Generations. This business is a tribute to her — created with love, and with deep respect for my family and my heritage.

These days, I’m proud that Medika Organics brings handmade products into more homes, and connects me with an incredible community of like-minded people who care about what they use on their skin.
