Q&A

Does it smell like beef?
Not at all. The tallow is properly refined, so there’s no animal smell whatsoever. What you’ll notice is the relaxing blend of frankincense and lavender.

Why tallow? Isn’t that old-fashioned?
It is old-fashioned — and that’s exactly why it works so well. Tallow’s fatty acid profile is remarkably similar to the oils our own skin naturally produces, which means it absorbs easily and feels comfortable rather than sitting on top of the skin. It’s been used in skincare for centuries, long before the beauty industry decided we needed a hundred synthetic ingredients to do the same job.

Will it feel heavy or greasy?
No — this is whipped and emulsified, it's not a balm. It’s light and airy, melts on contact and absorbs without leaving any residue. It wears comfortably under makeup or on its own.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. Because it’s free from synthetic fragrance and unnecessary additives, and because tallow is so compatible with the skin’s own oils, it tends to be very well-tolerated — even by skin that reacts to a lot of conventional moisturisers.

Can I use it on more than just my face?
Absolutely. It works beautifully on dry hands, rough elbows, cuticles — anywhere that needs a little extra care. A lot of my customers keep a jar on the bathroom shelf and one on the bedside table also.

How to Use
